South Africa Need 12 Runs Off 12 Balls Against Pakistan

Wahab Riaz was bowling his 9th over. He was charging in left arm with his fiery run up. Wahab had not taken a wicket today. That was a bit disappointing for him and he came in to bowl at the speed of 141 km/hr. Matt Henry was in gigantic mood. His intent to hit one straight out of the park became successful as the 141km/hr delivery by Wahab was short pitched. There was a fielder on the on side in the deep. Matt analysed the field very nicely before going for his shot.

New Zealand was 222 for 8 wickets down. The great Henry went a few steps back and made a room for himself to play the shot. Not sure what Wahab had in mind, he came charging in and bowled a delivery that was not bowled intentionally short. Maybe he lost his grip on the ball.

141km/hr were good enough but the short pitch delivery took the middle of the bat. Wahab was stunned with amazement, so as the other spectators and commentators. Henry hit the ball with full force and swung the bat toward On side. The boundary was not too long. The moment bat hit the bal it flew in the air high and was going a long way back.

This must have been the longest six anyone has ever hit in the year so far. Mighty battles have gone through the Australian grounds between India and Australia. But this huge six by Henry went straight out of the ground. There was no chance for anyone from the crowd to get his hand to the ball.

The crowd had to turn their necks around to see the ball going way beyond the spectators. Rarely this kind of shot is scene in the game of cricket, in the T20, it is more likely to get hit like that but Wahab Riaz will remember this blow for long time, as he was hit a long way by a bowler as well.
