The Asian Test Championship was played in 1998-99 winter in which Pakistan played a test match against India which fans of fast bowling will never forget. The special thing about this match was the bowling of Shoaib Akhtar Shoaib needs no introduction.
He was the legendary fast bowler for Pakistan till 2011 in the ODIs and test cricket. The great thing about this video is that Shoaib knocked the two legendary batsmen of India who were the best in the world in the 90s. The two great Indians Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid were consecutively removed by the young Shoaib in 2 balls.
Shoaib was the only bowler with Wasim and Waqar in the world to bowl clean Yorkers towards the end and middle of innings. He made tremendous comebacks for Pakistan with his unplayable Yorkers.
The low full tosses was a speciality of the young Shoaib who just started his career internationally back in the late ninties. There was only one slip in place. Shoaib charged in to bowl to Rahul Dravid. Rahul was the most dangerous batsman in the world in the subcontinent.
Rahul was expecting a fast deliver but not as low and as quick as Shoaib delivered. The ball swang towards his feet and Rahul tried to block it. He completely misjudged the ball. He moved his feet to stop the ball for saving his wickets.
But the speed was so quick, the ball went straight through his defence. The leg stomp was out of its place, went a long way behind on the ground.
