Lahore Qalandars have lost another important match last night against Islamabad united. The United team has never looked better. The match was filled with amazing hits and sixes by star players like Sharjeel, Umar Akmal, and Shane Watson. Misbah was not in the United team, therefore the captain and Australian legend Shane Watson had to do something extraordinary in this 9th match of Pakistan Super League. This match was played at the Sharjah Cricket Ground.
With 25 balls remaining in the match, the Islamabad won the match already with 8 wickets in hand. Shane Watson was brilliant in this match, however he was not the player of the match because he was the highest scorer. The massive Sharjeel Khan who smashed the Lahore team with 79 runs was the man of the match. Shane hit 7 sixes and 4 boundaries on all sides of the park. The boundary of the Sharjah cricket ground is not so long, the ground was easy to hit big shots, the bowlers did not get much support from the dry wicket of Sharjah.
Shane Watson was as brilliant as Sharjeel. Both players did tremendous hitting from the very beginning of the innings. They were incredible to watch and a great victory was awaiting them. No bowler could do anything except got hit for big shots. The captain of United faced only 47 balls. That was incredible because was super-fast for his run chase. He knew that no Misbah Ul Haq was playing in the match. Therefore he was feeling some added responsibility.
