Shahid Afridi Leaves T20 Captaincy

Shahid Afridi is known for his power hitting and sixes in the International cricket. Since his start in 1996 against Sri Lanka with his fastest century ever in International , Afridi has taken many records to his name.

Afridi was seen practicing hitting sixes during a net practice ahead of his first competition of T20 world cup 2016. Afridi has been under pressure due to his bad performances in recent matches. Even the green team captain could not even a single run in warm up match against Sri Lanka.

Practicing hitting sixes may be a good thing for Afridi but he would have to show some captaincy skills in the field to keep his boys morale up throughout the game.

Today is a Pakistan vs Bangladesh match of Super 10 part of the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup 2016, in India. At a beautiful venue of Eden Garden, Pakistan team will face Bangladesh for the 8th time in T20s. Pakistan has won 5 times and Bangladesh could manage only 2 wins in last 7 encounters between the two teams.

Bangladesh has always been a tough team against Pakistan but this time, Bangladesh is even harder to compete with due to their very talented bowling line up along with their hard hitting batting squad. Equipped with a talented bowler Mustufizue Rehman, Bangladesh will be looking to keep Pakistan in control with their experienced bowler Shakib Ul Hassan.

In recent encounter during Asia Cup 2016, Bangladesh could not take the victory over Pakistan but they still managed to play Asia Cup Finals.

Pakistan on the other hand is under tremendous pressure due to their consistent failure in T20s. Under Afridi Captaincy Pakistan has managed to win only a hand full of T20 Internationals. Pakistan could not do well even in Asia Cup.

Although Pakistan has shown very good start by beating Sri Lanka in warm up match, the green team still needs to show that at an International level, where they have very strong teams in their group.

Pakistan will be landing on ground with their fast bowling attack as according to Waqar Younis, the coach of Pakistan team, Fast bowling is our weapon and we will land with out full weapon.
