In the same series against New Zealand in 2015, Starc made the record of the “faster Yorker bowled in the history of international test match cricket by any bowler.” His deliveries were consistently over 150 km/hr. and his record breaking delivery was 160.4 kilometers per hour in Perth. With this amazing record breaking performance, Starc has joined the list of fastest legendary bowlers like Shoaib Akhtar, Brett Lee, Shaun Tait and Jeff Thomson who all had the historic figures of bowling above 160 km/hr.
Starc also has the privilege to bowl in the first day and night test match played in the history of cricket. He was in fact the first bowler to bowl in that match. The interesting thing was that there was a pink ball used in that test match. He finished as the No. 1 bowler in the world cup 2015 as well. He took 22 wickets at an average of 10.18. No bowler could match his performance. He has always been a devastating force against the powerful Indian team.
The king of pace bowling was amazed with all the fans in the stadium when his fastest ball did not give him a wicket. Luckily the batsman Ross Taylor was able to dig it out and saved his wicket cleverly. Starc was out of the injury and straight into the IPL 2015. In the IPL, the economy rate of the Yorker King is 7.13. He has superb economy rate in the T20s as well which is 7.11. He has done a great damage in the 2015 IPL series in India.
He knocked the Rajasthan batsmen for just 22 runs and pulled out an incredible victory for Royal Challengers. The Australian danger man is out to bring the lot of trouble to the new generation of batsmen in the days to come.
