Today on 6/2/2016, both teams are set to face each other in Dubai Cricket Stadium. The two teams are playing each other for the first time in the tournament. The match will start at 8pm Pakistan Standard time. He match will start at 16:00 GMT which will be 20:00 Dubai Standard Time.

The Lahore Qalandars started off pretty recklessly on 5th February. The Karachi Kings had beaten them comprehensively in the first game. Due to the sloppy fielding, unimpressive batting and not so accurate bowling, Lahore team is down on the points table. They have a chance to win the today’s game against the motivated Peshawar Gladiators.

Peshawar Gladiators on the other side are very much motivated side for today’s game. Yesterday they had a superb victory over Islamabad United team. Islamabad looked pretty ordinary like Lahore yesterday. Islamabad lost the match by 24 runs after showing some fight toward the end.

Talking about the players for both the teams, Azhar Ali is both the captain of Lahore Qalandars. Currently he has been the leader of Pakistani squad in New Zealand, the man needs a very strong motivation and leadership quality if he want to prove himself a good captain in the future. They players like Gayle and Yasir Shah are a part of the team. They must be utilized efficiently. Gayle is stunning with his bat from Big Bash tournament. The record making streak will continue in PSL or not for Gayle is only a matter of time. Other international players are Yasir Shah, the magic arm of Pakistan. Sohaib Maqsood is another good player with talent but not performing well.

The match will be shown live on PTV Sports. The match will also be shown live for the UK viewers of Sky Sports. The New Zealand viewers can see the match on Sky Sports as well. Australia viewers can see the match live on Sky Sports 1. The fans in Zimbabwe can also view the PSL live on Super Sports channel. The crazy Indian fans of cricket can see the match on Ten Sports. The teams are following for today’s match:

Lahore qalandars

Chris Gayle (WI), Dwayne Bravo (WI), Umar Akmal, Mohammad Rizwan, Yasir Shah, Sohaib Maqsood, Mustafizur Rehman (BAN), Kevon Cooper (WI), Cameron Delport (RSA), Zafar Gohar, Hammad Azam, Zia-ul-Haq, Zohaib Khan, Azhar Ali, Naved Yasin, Adnan Rasool.

We saw Rizwan tried to play some good shots in the first match, but he was out quickly. Also, Kevon Cooper has been a good behind the stomps, but has not been able to do well with the bat. Chris Gayle made a glorious dance performance in the opening ceremony of the Paksitan Super League, but will he be the hero for the Lahore Qalandars Team? We will soon find out.

Peshawar zalmi

Shahid Afridi, Wahab Riaz, Darren Sammy (WI), Kamran Akmal, Mohammad Hafeez, Chris Jordan(ENG), Tamim Iqbal (BAN), Junaid Khan, Jim Allenby (ENG), Aamer Yamin, Dawid Malan (ENG), Imran Khan Jr, Shahid Yousuf, Abdur Rehman, Musadiq Ahmed, Hassan Ali

Shahid Afridi could not make a huge score in the first game, he can be among the big hitting in the next matches for Peshawar. The money involved in PSL may not be as high as IPL by India, but with the success of first year, the players might be paid highly for playing PSL. PSL is not supposed to be a poor salary league for the rich superstars, but at this stage PCB cannot compete with the BBL and IPL. The future looks good for PSL because of the passion and willingness of PCB to promote Pakistan Cricket.
