Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans will face each other for their first enouncter of Pakistan Super League 2019, the fourth edition of Pakistan’s premium cricket league. Match will be played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium and will start at 4:30 PM Pakistan Standard Time.
Lahore Qalandars and Multans Sultans both teams have won only 1 of their first 3 games. Both have chances to register their second win. Qalandars after receiving a lot of criticism have almost second last chance to stay in the league. Rana Fawad’s team were the first team to get out of the first 3 editions of the league. This time, they will like to stay in the league for at least later stages.
Qalandars’ captain Muhammad Hafeez has been ruled out of Pakistan Super League because of a thumb injury. Hafeez has been given an advice for at least 6 to 8 weeks. And if he does not recover well, he may miss his another Cricket World Cup as he was out of 2015 world cup because of injury. Salman Butt has been named as a replacement for Hafeez. Butt will feature in first high profile tournament after serving 5 years ban imposed in 2010 for spot fixing against England.
This is the best chance for Salman Butt to prove his skills as said by Mushtaq Ahmad. “Salman Butt can make into world cup squad if he performs well in PSL season 4.” says Mushtaq Ahmad.
