Early on in the innings Imad was given the ball to bowl his off spins and put some pressure on the Quetta openers. Luke after hitting a nice boundary was planning to open his arms freely.
But was the the bad luck of Luke Wright or the good luck of Imad Wasim, that is hard to tell. Because Luke got out on that funny delivery from Imad at 11 runs to his credit.
Mir Hamza made no mistake, he held on to the ball until it was firmly in his hands. Luke had to depart back where he came from. The 126 was a low total to defend. Later on Sarfraz Ahmed of Quetta played magnificently to bring them the victory after being not out for 29 in 33 balls.
As Imad Wasim delivered the ball with his left hand, the commentator was shocked where the ball was going, his sudden response was “Oh Dear” !!
Really that was the softest dismissal we can say on a flat pitch like that, there was no turn in the delivery, the Sharjah wicket is perfect paradise for batting side, therefore Imad was terribly lucky to get a wicket on that one. Normally it would have been a wide if the batsman had left it for the keeper.
This ball was so wide that the commentator called it a double wide. There was also a possibility for the keeper to get this wicket by stomping if he had gotten it first, but Mir got the catch perfectly.
The first wicket was down the chasing team. In the end, Quetta got home very easily. Anyway, not a bad start for Imad at all. You will enjoy this most unusual wicket in the PSL in our video.
Anyway, Good luck to Imad and Karachi for the rest of the tournament, Dubai is waiting for the players again.Ten more days of action left in this mega PSL event. The biggest party of spring is in full swing.
