Sydney Strikers were also very impressive along with the Sydney Thunder. Jimmy Pearson and Andre Russell are famous for hitting the ball into the crowd. They did it just better in this season in BBL for their teams. Hobart Hurricanes had some amazing players this season. Dan Christian of Hurricanes will also be visible in this video. His sixer was the highest in the tournament.

The four teams that were eliminated were Melbourne Renegades, Brisbane Heat, Hobart Hurricanes and Sydney Sixers. The captains were Brad Hodge, Chris Lynn (c Tim Paine (c) (wk) Aaron Finch (c) and David Hussey (c) to name a few of the best in the world.

The great Brendon McCullum was also supposed to be included in the BBL tournament but he had some International matches clashed with BBL’s schedule, therefore he had to go for his team and miss the BBL this year. Another key player who  developed a stress fracture in his back was Patrick Cummins. Also Callum Ferguson suffered an injury in his knee to miss out on this great occasion for this year.

The match on January 2 was the most interesting. It was between Perth Scorchers and Sydney Sixers when the players were wearing Batman and Superman uniforms instead of wearing their own uniforms. That was because BBL has done a partnership this year with Warner Bros. Pictures.

Melbourne Stars were beaten by 3 wickets in the final by Sydney Thunders. Travis Head of the Adelaide Strikers was named ‘Young Gun if the BBL 2016 as well”. He was the best player under 25. He scored 299 runs and took 6 wickets in the season for his team which was extraordinary.

The BBL warmup matches were played in early December last year. Four best teams who qualified for the semi finals were Adelaide Strikers, Melbourne Stars, Perth Scorchers and Sydney Thunder.
