His full name was Ijaz Ahmed. He was born in 20, 1968. He was born in Sialkot in Punjab.He retired from the international cricket. In the third One Day Match played in India, Pakistan grabbed victory with Ijaz Ahmad 139 off 84 balls. Pakistan won the match well before the remaining overs with 139 balls to spare.

Ijaz was a talented player. Tony Greig used to call him the rock bottom of Pakistan batting lineup. He played internationally for Pakistan for almost two decades and also played domestic cricket for Gujranwala Cricket Association, Habib Bank Limited. He was a right handed batsman who was also a part of Islamabad Cricket Association. He also used to bowl with left arm medium pace. Javed Miandad and Wasim Akram as captains used to utilize him often as a useful bowler in the ODIs.
