Australia Vs India World Cup T20 2016 at Mohali
India faced the fired up Bangladesh on the other day for the most fearsome battle of their entire lives. They hardly were able to defeat Bangladesh by 1 run which shows they might lose against the Australian side which is so much better in power than Bangladesh.Australia Vs India is expected to be a high-scoring game as well because Aussies are great chasers even if India bats first.
But it would not be a good idea to under estimate this Indian side. Kohli will not be missing this match and his spot at the top order. Ravi Shastri and Dhoni are both more than determined to grab this desperate win against the Kangaroos to play in the semi finals. Losing to Australia will bring them the same fate as Aussies gave t Pakistan, one way ticket back to home.
Australia has set the target of 161 for India to either have a chance in the semi finals or exit their way to home like Pakistan. No team changes were made in either sides which have beaten Pakistan. Australia batted first and Dhoni was disappointed to lose the toss. He would have done the same thing.
Shane Watson who will retire after the world cup T20 is determined to beat India in this match. Usman Khawaja with Aaron Finch started pretty well for Australia till the 5th over. They scored quick runs and played impressive shots.
Usman hit 6 beautiful boundaries. He was caught by Dhoni on the bowling of Nehra in 5th over at 26. Finch was again superb with the bat and top scorer today. He lasted for 12 overs and hit 2 sixes and 3 superb boundaries. He was out by getting caught by Dhawan on the bowling of Pandya at 43.
Warner went early at 6 in the 8th over, it was the time when Finch was in control at the other end. Captain Smith again failed in this Australia Vs India contest with 2 runs. Yuvraj Singh got rid of him. He was the danger that was removed early. The last five overs were played incredibly well by Watson and Maxwell. Maxwell made 31 runs on just 28 balls with one four and a six.
He was out in the 17th over bold by Bumrah. Watson also made a quick 18 on 16 balls and remained not out till the end of innings. Faulkner also did well in the final overs with 10 on 10 balls. He was equally supported by Nevill who also made 10 runs. Faulker was gone in the 20th over on a lovely delivery by Pandya. Therefore only a target of 160 could be reached by Australia.
Rohit Sharma and Dhawan started intelligently and took no risks. Dhawan was able to hit a tremendous six and a boundary. Just when he was looking to open free, he was out caught by Khwaja on 13 in the 4th over. The superb warrior Kohli came out to join the battle with Rohit. He was the lone ranger who became the hero of this match and helped India get home with 82 runs in just 51 balls.
The Kohli was unbelievable in Australia Vs India encounter tonight. His running between wickets with Dhoni was exceptional. They had great understanding which helped Dhoni make 18 runs not out with Kohli in the end. India has put Australia out of the world cup and will play again in the semi final against West Indies in Mumbai.
The player of the match was Virat Kohli for his surprising innings. Sunil Gavaskar called him the young genius of India. Ravi Shastri was delirious as well. Dhoni was the one who was at the striking end when the first ball of 20th over was smashed by the captain himself for a boundary. India needed 4 runs in 6 balls. India won with 5 balls to spare.
Kohli deserves all the applause when Raina left him at 10 and Yuvraj could only manage 21 runs. It was all Kohli who stood like a rock with Dhoni. Well played India.
