England vs West Indies game is schedule to be played on Tuesday at Wankhade stadium, India. This is the 15th match of the T20 world cup and the 3rd match of the Super 10 stage. Both England and West Indies will be playing their first game of the tournament on 16th March 2016.
West Indies won the toss and elected to field first. Pitch looks like very good for bowling but the West Indies has relied more on their batting the bowling. They know their strength. So they will be chasing down the total.
England is comfortable with whatever they have got. They have taken a very good start of their match with early hitting. Jason Roy and Alex Hales provided good foundation. Jason Roy made 15 of 15 balls when he fell a prey to a slow delivery of Andre Russell.
Joe Root joined Alex Hales and made a good partnership. Both scored 55 runs in just 6 odd overs. Alex Hales got out in 11th over. He scored 28 runs off 26 balls with a strike rate of 107.
Joe Root scored most runs for England. He managed to make 48 runs of 36 balls with 2 sixes and 3 fours before he got out to Andre Russell. As always Butler started his innings with some huge hitting and smashed 3 very big sixes. Butler scored 30 or 20 balls with a strike rate of 150.
England managed to do 182 runs in 20 overs. West Indies now have to chase 183 with its strong batting line up. However, Chris Gayle will play a major part in his team’s run chase. His power hitting is popular everywhere but it is a time to show it for his team.
