Australia Vs Bangladesh match for the World T2o Cup is headed for an exciting finish at Bangalore for the important match in Group 2. Aussies were given a great start by Usman Khawaja who made a brilliant half century for his 58. That gave them the ultimate advantage for chasing a good total of 156 by Bangladesh team. They comfortably won the match with a full over to spare and three balls.

Australian captain Smith won the toss this evening and decided to put Bangladesh on batting first. This T20 night match was crucial for both teams to obtain the 2 points desperately.  Muhammad Mithun opened the batting with Soumya Sarkar. Mithun was able to play well for his 23 runs at the top. He gave Bangladesh a good start till he got caught by Watson on the bowling of Zampa. But a lot of good batting performance was still to come in this thrilling Australia Vs Bangladesh contest.

Soumya was the first one to go back to dressing room for just 1 run. He was the victim of Watson’s bowling. Sabbir and Shakib Al Hasan saved the drowning boat of Bangladesh in the first five overs. Sabbir was out for a quick 12 with 2 boundaries in the 5th over, but Shakib kept his wicket and stood like a rock till the 16th over. He made a brilliant 33 on 44 balls at with 1 six and 3 fours.

By the half way mark, Shuvagata also got out in the 12th over leaving Shakib with Mahmudullah. It was really Mahmudullah who played a giant inning of 49 for his team near the end to get them a challenging total to defend. He hit 7 boundaries and a four for his 49 on 38 balls.

Losing wickets at regular intervals in the first innings was observed in this Australia Vs Bangladesh contest, however Bangladesh still managed a good total of 156 in the 20 overs, thanks to the massive hitting of boundaries by Mahmudullah. He was unlucky to get just one more run to complete his 50 and remained not out at 49. Mushfiqur Rahim also remained not out with him at 15 who did quite well with his partner by hitting 2 boundaries in final overs.
