The most beautiful and the biggest mosque of South Asia is Faisal Mosque also known as Shah Faisal Mosque which is located in the heart of Margalla hills Islamabad, Pakistan. This 4th largest mosque in the world was the world’s largest from 1986-1993 before the completion of Hassan II Mosque and the expansion of Masjid Al-Haram. This prettiest mosque was designed by Vedat Dalokay who was the Turkish architect and with the cost of 120 million US dollars it was completed in 1986. It has the total covered area of 5,000 square meters and near about 74,000 worshippers can perform their five times prayer at a time, these figures are of its main areas while approximately 200,000 is the capacity in its adjoining grounds.  This national mosque of Pakistan was named after the late Saudi King Faisal bin Abdul Aziz who was the financier and supporter of this sacred project.

8-Taj-ul Masajid (Bhopal, India)

Taj-ul Masajid comes at number eight in our list of top ten most beautiful mosque of the world. This largest mosque in India is located in Bhopal and is the major Islamic teaching center within the country. Having the Mughal architectural design it is spread an area of 400,000 square meters. It has three domes and two minarets. The construction of the mosque was started during the period of Bahadur Shah Zafar who was the Mughal Emperor but construction stopped due to the lack of funds so in 1971 its construction was resumed that was completed in 1985.

9-Badshahi Mosque (Lahore, Pakistan)

The Fifth largest Mosque of the world and the 2nd largest in Pakistan is none other than Badshahi Mosque that is located in Lahore, Pakistan. This beautiful Badshahi or Royal Mosque represents the optimizing beauty of the Mughul area, that’s why it is also one of the major tourist attractions in Pakistan. It was completed in 1673 and Approximately 55,000 worshippers can accommodate in its main prayer hall while 95,000 is the capacity in its courtyard and porticoes.  For 313 I.e. from 1673-1986 Badshahi Mosque remained as the largest mosque in the world. It has three domes and eight minarets where four are major and four are minors. The height of four major minarets is 176 ft (53.75 m).

Located in Muscat Street in Singapore, Sultan Mosque is the 10th most beautiful mosque in the world and is the most important mosque in Singapore. Sultan Mosque has been unchanged since its completion although some improving changes have been made to the main hall and some others. Its beautiful dome presents a classical view that reflects the features of this glory mosque. After the four years work the mosque was eventually completed in 1928.
