It was the very first fifty by Muhammad Rizwan in Pakistan Super League. Meanwhile Rizwan has been dropped from Pakistan World T20 squad.
Umer Akmal, who was the hero for Lahories in last match against very promising side Quetta Gladiators, could only manage 23 runs off 23 balls with 100 strike rate. Umer was looking strong as he has already hit one of the biggest hits of the tournament to, magician Saeed Ajmal, but then fell a pray to left arm spinner from Islamabad. Lahories were dejected to see their hero go back to pavilion.
While chasing 166 runs, Islamabad United did not show any panic and made a brilliant start with both openers making huge hits around the ground. Captain, Shane Watson and Sharjeel Khan, who was looking little serious as he has not been selected in World T20 squad, both put up 140 runs opening wicket partnership, leaving no chances for Lahories to come back into the match.
Shane Watson made brilliant 77 runs off just 43 balls with 7 huge sixes. Sharjeel Khan remained unbeaten with his splendid knock of 89 runs. Sharjeel Khan was named man of the match while Shane Watson was named the smart player of the match.

Now, Islamabad United has won 2 of their 4 matches and is on 3rd place on points table. While Lahore Qalandars are at the bottom of the table as they have lost 3 of their first 4 matches. Most likely, Lahories will be the first team to get out of the first ever Pakistan Super League.
