Babar Azam excellent knock against NZ

KKR started off their IPL 2016 campaign with an impressive win against DD due to excellent bowling of Andre Russel and Piyush Chawla. Though, DD started their innings in a great fashion when openers looked comfortable in the middle but later on crumbled due to their blunders. De Kock was in a good knick and hit few early boundaries in the match before he skied the ball to Yousaf Pathan standing at short mid-off.

This was the point that the Daredevils never came back in to the match. Their wickets were falling like autumn leaves as no one really tried to stay in the middle. Russle ran through the top order and stole three crucial wickets at a very humble total.

There was nothing impressive with the ball, neither line, nor length. In fact batsmen were throwing their wickets away with irresponsible batting. They could have scored reasonable total, had they stayed on the wicket.

Later on Puyush Chawla did the same with his leg spin overloaded with wrong ones. The DD batsmen were unable to pick his deliveries and hurried in to the huddle one after another. South African opener de Kock was the highest scorer with 17 and there were only three other players who crossed the double figure barrier.

This was a very disappointing start for Delhi Daredevils as the cut a sorry figure in the initial match of the tournament. Zaheer Khan, who was leading the side first time in IPL, was clearly down with his outfit’s performance.
